The SIEMDig Teacher Training

The SIEMDig teacher training aims to equip primary school teachers with digital and inclusive teaching skills, focusing on the use of storytelling and digital tools for fostering empathy and inclusion among children aged 6–9. The methodology combines experiential learning, peer collaboration, and reflective practice in a blended format (face-to-face and online).

Learning outcomes of the training
  • Understand the principles and objectives of the SIEMDig approach
    Participants will be able to explain the goals, values, and educational impact of the SIEMDig project, with a focus on digital inclusion and emotional maturity.
  • Effectively use the SIEMDig Digital Repository
    Participants will be able to navigate, search, and select appropriate digital resources to support lesson planning and meet diverse learners’ needs.
  • Integrate digital storytelling into teaching practice
    Participants will be able to design and implement interactive storytelling activities using the IDS Platform to promote engagement, empathy, and social awareness.
  • Design inclusive and learner-centred educational activities
    Participants will be able to create lesson plans that accommodate different learning styles, abilities, and social backgrounds.
  • Promote pupils’ emotional intelligence and empathy
    Participants will be able to facilitate activities that help children recognize emotions, develop self-awareness, and build respectful relationships.
  • Identify and address situations of exclusion in the classroom
    Participants will be able to recognize barriers to inclusion and apply appropriate strategies to create a supportive learning environment.
  • Collaborate with peers to improve educational practices
    Participants will be able to participate in co-design activities, provide constructive feedback, and refine teaching materials collaboratively.
  • Apply and adapt good practices from real educational contexts
    Participants will be able to analyze SIEMDig case studies and transfer successful inclusive digital strategies to their own classrooms.
  • Engage families and communities in inclusive digital learning
    Participants will be able to use communication and collaboration strategies that involve parents and local communities in children’s emotional and social development.
  • Reflect on and continuously improve their professional practice
    Participants will be able to use reflective tools, self-assessment, and professional networks to support lifelong learning and ongoing development.
